Charlene Wallis crowned Queen of Hair Confidence

Date published: 23 November 2016

Charlene Wallis has been crowned the Queen of Hair Confidence by The Royal Connection after winning a second award for her business, Diamond Dazzle Hair and Accessories.

Charlene, from Syke, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be crowned Queen of Hair Confidence and I’m extremely proud to win yet another award.”

She found out she had won when she was on her way to exhibition at the head and neck cancer conference in Liverpool with the Swallows Charity.

Charlene will be receiving a glass award and certificate in addition to a Queen of Hair Confidence badge.

The award follows her win at the Enterprise Vision Awards in September, when she was awarded the Highly Commended Customer Service Award of the Year.

Charlene’s business, located inside Bolton Market, has a contract with many of the local NHS hospitals which means she accepts NHS wig vouchers in exchange for Dimples full head wigs.

NHS wig vouchers help people who have suffered from hair loss due to medical reasons. This includes those who have lost their hair through cancer treatment

The Royal Connection was launched by Aqua Design Group during the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 to celebrate women in business.

The competition proved so popular that it has continued ever since.
