Barbara Davidson nominated for the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion

Barbara Davidson Project Co-ordinator of Rochdale Women's Enterprise Initiative has been nominated for the Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion, which recognises individuals who have played an outstanding and significant role in promoting the growth of enterprise and/or entrepreneurial skills and attitudes in others.
The Women into Enterprise Initiative (WEI) project started in 2001 and since then almost 500 women have contacted WEI and asked for help and support with starting or developing their own business. Women’s Enterprise works closely with other organisations and offers advice, help with business plans or business skills, one to one sessions or group work to help you women get their business started or developed.
Ms Davidson has been the driving force in ensuring that local business women and potential business women get the help and support needed to help them succeed.
