Meadows Care in £2m deal with Birmingham City Council

Meadows Care, Rochdale
Meadows Care, a Rochdale-based specialist care provider for young people, has been awarded a £2 million contract by Birmingham City Council.
Meadows Care, which has 19 homes in Rochdale and employs 200 people, was awarded the contract to build more homes in Birmingham, the first of which is set to be built next month.
Jonathan Rigg, owner and co-founder of Meadows Care, has spent over a decade working with young people in need of emotional and psychological support following trauma or unfortunate family circumstances.
Speaking to Rochdale Online, Mr Rigg said: “We were absolutely over the moon when we found out. Relatively speaking we are quite a small company, especially for getting such big contracts like this. We are a privately owned business so it has been really wonderful for us to have been chosen at all.
“I am a Rochdale man, most of our homes are in Rochdale, and my ambition would be to expand our services as much as possible also around the North West.
“My family has always been associated with child care, and it is always something I have been passionate about. There has been some real positive work going on recently, and I hope will carry on much the same.”
