My name is Katie Georgina Finn from Milnrow, Rochdale I am currently studying child care at Hopwood Hall college and I am competing for a place in Miss Rochdale 2009, my first modelling competition. I like to try and make everyone I meet smile! I never take life or myself too seriously and think I'm quite a friendly and approachable person.

When it comes to my future I’m a very determined and focused person. I have many ambitions for the future the main one being to gain a place at University where I can study childcare. I consider childcare as a rewarding experience and believe there is always something new to learn everyday. I want to be able to make a different in people's lives by passing on my knowledge to the coming generations.

I believe you can be anyone and do anything as long as you put everything you have into it and am keen to promote this to the youth of today. This is why I feel I am the person who will make Rochdale proud by representing the Town.

I hope to keep my life exciting and never look back to think I missed out on anything.
