Local Election 2011
North Heywood Ward
I was born in Bury and have lived in the Birtle area of Heywood for the last 27 years. I am now retired after working for a local firm as a packaging designer for 22 years.
I am the Vice-Chairman of The Birtle Trust which looks after the interests of the Green Belt in Birtle. I am also the Vice-Chairman of a national motor club and have been a director for 22 years.
I accepted the challenge to stand as a local candidate to give voters in the Heywood North Ward a chance to vote for the Conservative Party. I believe voting is a way of making your voice heard and I ask that everyone uses his or her vote. A low turnout is not a true representation of the residents of the Ward. It’s no good complaining unless you have taken part!
