Local Election 2011
Littleborough Lakeside Ward
37 Barnes Meadows
I am looking forward to campaigning on the issues that matter to the people of Littleborough.
If elected I will be a friend to the local environment, fighting to keep the area clean and tidy, I will also campaign to improve the parking problems in the village that stem out from the train station only having a small carpark that gets full very quickly.
It has not been made any better with commuters coming from outside the area now that the new double yellow lines have been placed outside Rochdale train station, causing real problems for the people of Littleborough, and now that the Station Has closed in Milnrow the situation has got even worse.
I would also campaign to try and get the public toilets put back in the centre of Littleborough becuase I feel they are needed with the amount of visitors Littleborough gets, we get lots of hikers here in Littlerough that go for walks over Blackstone edge the pennines and the removal of these toilets are a sad loss to many.
I would also campaign to try and get the road surfaced on Henderville street, Some of the residents are elderly and disabled, and the potholes are so large that when water freezes in them they become like an ice skating rink making this a great danger to the residents and visitors.
