On the 4th May, you will be able to vote again at the local elections.
Whether you vote by post or in person this is the third year in a row that I am asking for your support. Over the last two years I hope that I’ve demonstrated why you can feel confident in re-electing me as your local Councillor for Bamford Ward.
In the forthcoming elections your vote can re-elect the only candidate who has a strong record of delivering for our community. Since being elected two years ago I have worked hard on local issues that matter to you including:
- Working with local Police Officers and agencies to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Fighting to ensure that our roads and pavements receive their fair share of funding for maintenance and repair.
- Tending to the garden on Bamford Green with the Friends of Bamford.
- Arranging and attending a monthly litter pick in Sudden with the Sudden Area litter picking team.
- Championing tougher action on fly tipping and planning enforcement.
- Attending Bamford Green Belt Action Group meetings and fighting against the unnecessary plans to build 450 homes on Greenbelt in Bamford.
To keep residents updated my colleagues and I knock on doors all year round, deliver regular leaflets and update our social media page on Facebook. I believe that an effective local Councillor can make a difference and I pledge to carry on as I have started – truly listen to you, be honest and up front about what can be achieved and work with communities across Bamford Ward.
I hope that when the time comes you feel able to use your vote and re-elect me as your Councillor for Bamford Ward.
