Rochdale Swarm return league action
Date published: 25 June 2008
The Rochdale Swarm return to Tag Merit League action on Sunday with a game against Halifax Community Rugby League Club.
With victory against local rivals Oldham the Swarm hope to continue their good form against the Tag Merits League High flyers Halifax. The Yorkshire outfit are also on the back of an impressive win after disposing of the TML`s league leaders Hull FC Irregulars last weekend.
The Swarm, although not fully up to strength, are able to welcome back Zahoor Ahmed and Phil Cockayne into the squad for the Roses clash over at the Boothstown ground and are more than hopeful of a good show.
Training has also gone well with a short trial game against the Swarms partner club Milnrow & Newhey ARLFC on Tuesday night which allowed both clubs to try different combinations and game plays.
Off the field the Swarm have been working with Rochdale Hornets new Commercial Manager, Debbie Troops who is helping the Swarm with publicity and funding and also with a major event the Swarm hope to announce soon.
All Swarm players are asked to meet at 9.30 Sunday Morning (29 June) at Firgrove for the trip over to Halifax.
