Ruth Walczak competed in Rowing World Championships
Ruth Walczak, from Hollingworth Lake Rowing Club, competed in the rowing world championships held in Amsterdam from the 24-31 August.
Ruth raced alongside her teammates Ellie Piggott, Brianna Stubbs and Charlotte Taylor in the lightweight women’s quadruple scull.
The quad finished sixth in their debut final at senior World level with a time of 6:29.720.
Great Britain finished the championships with 10 medals in total, four golds, four silvers and two bronzes.
This was more than any other nation at the world championships.
