Cobras ‘A’ 18 – 23 Sherwood Wolf Hunt

Cobras 'A' fell to a narrow defeat as they hosted Midlands team ‘Sherwood Wolf Hunt’ at Firgrove on Saturday (12 July).

Cobras fielded a team of young, old, union and complete novices against an enthusiastic new team run by ex-Rochdale Cobra, Adam Bates.

Sherwood gallantly made the long trip with just 12 men and took to the field with a couple of local legends who stepped up when asked to make sure a great game of rugby league could be played.

A spokesman for Cobras said: "It was a close game and one thoroughly enjoyed by the large crowd.

"Cobras plan to return the favour later in the year with a fixture at Sherwood."
