Swarm players in Great Britain call up

The Hornets Supporters Tag Rugby League Team, The Rochdale Swarm, have been honoured by the selection of three of their players for the first ever Great Britain Tag Rugby League Team squad.
The three players, Zahoor "Ziggy" Ahmed, Dave Tyson and Scott Manock, went to the inaugural training session at The Chris Moyles Stadium in Featherstone and were put through their paces alongside players drawn from the other Tag Merit League sides.
Possible opponents for the GB Tag Side are Samoa, Fiji, France and the Czech Republic, with the ultimate goal being a tour to Australia in the next couple of years.
The Swarm return to Tag Merit League action on Sunday with an fixture away at the Wakefield City Webcats. The Hornets Supporters Team are looking at an improved performance with several players all pushing for a starting jersey. All players are asked to meet at Firgrove Playing Fields 9.45am Sunday morning for the trip over to Wakefield.
Training for the Swarm has been altered slightly with training now starting half an hour later at 6.30pm on a Tuesday Night at Firgrove.
