Mayfield Mustangs under 12s cup quarter final victory

Mayfield Mustangs under 12s continued their tremendous start to the rugby season extending their winning run of all eight games so far this season with a cup quarter final win against Wrexham last Sunday.

Coaches Paul O’Keefe (ex-pro at Rochdale hornets), Stan Connolly (ex-Mayfield first team player) and Ivan Taylor say they are "overjoyed" with the way things have started, especially with the new players, some of who have never played rugby league before.

Ivan says: “It was a hard slog in the beginning with only five players in pre-season training, but now have 13 regular players with more players turning up weekly.

“Our thanks go to Eurofabs and Guttermaster/Fusion Facades who have purchased our new kit and tracksuits."
