Rochdale Hornets travel to North Wales Crusaders this Good Friday in a game that could be decisive come the end of the season.

Crusaders, who spent big in 2013 and finished deserved Champions, currently sit just one point better than Hornets in the Championship table, despite spending heavily on former Super League and World Cup recruits in the off season.

Experienced and respected coach Clive Griffiths, who last year labelled Hornets 'St Helens A' and slammed the use of dual registration, could be boosted by players from dual registration club Widnes Vikings, with whom Crusaders have shared facilities for the past two seasons and this year signed a dual registration agreement with.

Hornets coach Ian Talbot will find out mid week which, if any, Saint Helens players are available to complement the Hornets. With Saints facing Wigan and Widnes over Easter weekend and then a trip to Leeds in the Challenge Cup, options may be limited.

Hornets have recorded two of their three victories this season with no dual registration players and run Leigh close twice with only young guns Alex Clare and James Tilley in the squad, but injuries and holidays led to the experienced Gary Wheeler being called upon last weekend to play centre alongside young props Richards and Walker.
