Hornets sign Shaun Robinson on loan
Date published: 11 April 2014
Rochdale Hornets have moved to replace Sam Te'o by bringing in Shaun Robinson from Dewsbury on a months loan.
Robinson, who hails from Royton, has previously played in the Hornets reserve grade and has had spells with Oldham and Oxford, before being snapped up by Dewsbury at the start of this season.
Head coach Ian Talbot commented 'Shaun comes highly recommended from Tony Benson and Glenn Morrison. The back 3 are doing well at Dewsbury at the moment so he hasn’t been getting in but they don’t want to let him go, so we are happy to give him some game time while I asses my options long term.
I have options with Lewis (Sheridan) and Sean (Casey) as well as a dual reg option, and the likes of Benji Lloyd and Andy Ball have been with us as well and could do a job, but Shaun is an out and out winger. He has a great turn of pace, fast feet and is very industrious and I’m sure he will do well.
The move is subject to RFL clearance.
