Springhill Hospice Charity Shield 2008

Springhill Hospice has organised a football event and is inviting footballers to join them at yhe Soccer Village for the Springhill Hospice Charity Shield. The event will be a 5-a-side competition held in two separate heats, taking place on Saturday 7 June and Sunday 8 June. The heat winners will play a final game on Sunday 8 June at 5pm. The winners will take home the Springhill Charity Shield sponsored by Mecure Norton Grange Spa Naturel and PGC Demolition.

Each team will consist of six members, five players and one substitute. Entry costs £40, payable by cash or by cheque (payable to Springhill Hospice). All games will be officiated by FA qualified referees.

Dean Connaughton Springhill Hospice Community Fundraiser said: "As a very keen footballer myself, I know that once the football season finishes, the opportunity to play is not always there. So for me this is a great chance to extend the season and to play in an organised competition and also to raise some much needed money for our local Hospice."
