Supporters urged to turn Shrewsbury game into a celebration

Date published: 30 April 2008

Manager Keith Hill has called on Rochdale supporters to turn Saturday's home game against Shrewsbury into a Spotland celebration.

Dale are assured of a League Two play-off place after reaching 79 points, a new club record.

"I think it's a time to celebrate," he told BBC Radio Manchester.

"Then we can all fully focus on the play-offs. We have got a lot to celebrate this season because we've achieved a lot."

He added: "We've got 79 points now which is the biggest total the club's ever had.

"The fans are magnificent and it is great to be able to celebrate with them.

"We're all fans deep down and we all want to do well, especially for those fans."
