Mayfield Under 7s

Date published: 02 October 2013

Mayfield under 7s entertained Ince Rose Bridge from Wigan, and showed they had learnt many of the lessons from last week's tough game against a very experienced Leigh Miners team.

Mayfield's defence was much more committed, with strong tackling from Billy Pickering, Vinnie Wainwright and Nathan Muir, who had a great all round game on his debut.

Top tackler was Jamie Howe with some aggressive defence, and he also added a try, as did Mason Andrews-Smith and man-of-the-match Issac Reid (2).

Mayfield under 7s take the short journey to Folly Lane next week, hoping to carry on with the strong efforts and discipline they showed on Sunday.
