Rugby stars of the future shine at Easter camp

The Easter rugby camp was popular with children from Rochdale and beyond
Young Rugby players attended the Easter Rugby Camp at Hopwood Hall Sports College in Middleton last week.
The unique camp caters for both codes of Rugby and allowed children to work on core skills. More than 50 young players took part over the three day camp.
The coaches took them through a variety of drills designed to improve their skills, needed in both League and Union.
Sessions designed to improve all the young players skills were held, and the coaches thought they had spotted a few prospective England players in the respective codes or even both for any budding Jason Robinsons.
The camp even hosted Audley Harrison's boxing coach, who delivered Rugby specific boxing sessions for camp participants.
Camp Participants Oscar Walliss and Jake Owens said: "The camps were great and it was good to mix with Rugby League players and swap ideas and stuff. We have all learned loads and had lots of fun.”
Another camp has been planned for 13 to 15 August, this summer.
