Rochdale’s appeal against the red card shown to George Donnelly in Saturday’s game against Accrington Stanley has been rejected.
The club submitted an appeal to the Football Association on Monday believing they had a genuine case of appeal.
The decision means Donnelly will now miss Dale’s next three matches – Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Port Vale.
