Hornets beat Oldham Roughyeds in a play off semi and now face them in a rematch in the final
Hornets will face Oldham Roughyeds in the Kingstone Press Championship 1 play-off final after Oldham defeated London Skolars at Whitebank.
Hornets have already defeated Oldham in a play off semi-final and so will go into the final, at Leigh Sports Village on 29 September, confident they can win the game and promotion.
On hearing the news the final is to be a derby against local rivals, long time Hornets supporter Andrew Huszar said: "I've waited 20+ years for this and I know older fans even longer. This means so much for so many. I just hope we have lots of fans there to cheer the lads on."
