Mayfield U12s and U7s

Date published: 16 September 2013

Mayfield U12s faced a tough game against a big, experienced Orrell side on a cold wet Sunday.

Mayfield started well, defending strongly against the big side.

The second half was a different story and saw Mayfield concede several unanswered tries.

Jack Taylor had a good game and was awarded the MOM, while the coaches award went to Sam Milne.

Mayfield U7s entertained Rylands of Warrington on Sunday and, despite the wet conditions, showed great handling and footwork to register tries through Jamie Howe, Mason Andrews-Smith and Isaac Reid (2), who's second was a great effort from his own half, as he skirted the touch line following a Vinnie Wainwright offload.

Top tackler was Tyler Kenwright, Man of the Match was Jacob Andrews-Smith.

The year three team train Saturday mornings at 11 at the club and next week take a trip to Leigh Miners.
