Kevin Sinfield and Sam Tomkins at Spotland
England Rugby League Captain Kevin Sinfield was joined by Wigan Warriors and England Full back Sam Tomkins at Spotland last week.
Hornets fans need not get their hopes up, as 'Sir Kev' and 'Slammin Sam' were at Spotland to film a promotional video for the Rugby League World Cup 'Design a boot' video, not to try out for the Hornets next year.
Spotland was chosen as the venue due to being host of the Fiji Vs Ireland Rugby League World Cup fixture in October.
Sinfield, who hails from nearby Oldham, commented: "I remember coming here a few times when my brother Ian played for Hornets. It's a nice stadium, and the pitch is fantastic. I'm sure the place will be rocking when the Fijian and Irish fans fill the place come October."
