Trust plans for 2013-14

Date published: 20 June 2013

The 2013-4 season is the tenth anniversary of the Dale Supporters Trust and with that in mind, they are aiming to make the Trust bigger and better than ever before by increasing membership and fundraising to record levels.

Following the pitch cover purchase last season, there is a surplus of funds with which to kick start the Trust's next major project. With that in mind, there will be a meeting with Trust members in the very near future to canvass opinion as to what to do. As always, no major project will be undertaken without members voting to do so.

Two special projects will be undertaken by the Trust in the coming season, starting with the re-launch of Junior Dale after many months of planning and the launch of the Former Players’ Association which should come to fruition by the time of the Trust anniversary dinner in April.

The Trust will continue to act on behalf of supporters with the football club, and build on relationships with both the FITC and the Supporters Football Team.

Communication with members has already been improved through developments to the Trust website, facebook and twitter, and the introduction of weekly e-newsletters to ensure that members are always fully up to speed with what’s been done, what is being done and what will be getting done. Furthermore, consultation evenings will be held where members thoughts and opinions will be sought.

Not only that, the existing work will continue with plenty more to follow as well as the Trust strive to make the Dale Trust the most open and accountable Supporters Trust in existence.
