Fothergill Falcons JFC seek new players
Date published: 30 March 2008
Fothergill Falcons Junior Football Club is looking for more players. The club was established in 2003 by Barclay Fellows with the aim of providing children with a football club to be proud of and to provide the community with a sense of well being. They now have three teams, under 10s, 11s and 12s with strict guidelines and rules that children and parents adhere to, for example, players conduct on and of the pitch, respecting opponents and officials.
In a record that shows remarkable self discipline, no player at the club has been shown a red card - players and supporters wear the Falcon's badge with pride.
The Falcon's biggest achievement to date is the under 9's coming runners up runners up in the Bowlee Cup last season.
A spokeswoman for the club said: "All of the team members love to play, win or lose."
