Opening fixture for Rochdale Swarm tag rugby league team

Saturday (15 March) sees the opening fixture for the Rochdale Swarm tag rugby league team.
 
In the match they face fellow new boys FevNet Rovers Community Rugby League Club over at Featherstone in the opening fixture of the 'Scrum Down Under' sponsored Tag Merit League.

The Swarms opponents, FevNet have had trial games against East Riding and Wakefield to prepare for the match with the Swarm so they will start as slight favourites, though the Swarm have been overwhelmed by the response in terms of numbers attending training and signing up to play they also feel confident going into the match.
 
The Swarm hope to be able to announce the name of their new coach shortly, a well know former Hornets player and local Amateur Rugby League coach being the name on every ones lips, an announcement is due soon.
