A volunteer at the Rochdale Swimming Club is celebrating after passing the ASA UKCC Level 2 for teaching aquatics.
Mathew Di Rosa, is said to be over the moon to have passed the course.
He has worked hard volunteering at the club in the race to gain his qualifications.
His dedication and passion for swimming is already paying off for him as he has been snapped up by Link4Life to work as one of their teachers.
Head coach Mark Lord said: "I'm so pleased Matthew has gained his level 2 qualification, he is going to be a great asset to the club and our swimmers.
“He will be able to teach the next generation of Rochdale's children to swim and hopefully find tomorrow’s superstar.
“Our club has supported Matthew to gain his level 2 qualification as a volunteer and he is fantastic example how a volunteer can use their experience and passion get a foot hold on the job ladder."
