A volunteer coach at the Rochdale Swimming Club is celebrating after passing the ASA/UKCC Level 2 certificate for teaching aquatics.
Matthew Lees’ new skills will now help the club to teach more children from across the borough to swim
He has been described as a “great asset” to the club.
Head Coach Mark Lord said: "I'm extremely grateful to Matthew and all our volunteer coaches at the club.
“Matthew has given so much of his own time and effort into passing the course and I am sure he will have a fantastic time teaching and coaching the clubs swimmers.”
