Rochdale & District Sunday Football League Trophy Presentations

Local Sunday League footballers flocked to the Sudden Social Club to enjoy their end of season presentation evening on Friday 2 June. Representatives from all five divisions gathered to receive league and cup trophies and top goal scorer awards after another successful season of amateur football in the town. The awards were presented by Sunday League President Eddie Melvin.

Winners Milton – Runners Up Tophams

Second Division:
Winners Broadway Celtic – Runners Up Queen Anne

Fourth Division:
Winners Rochdale Nomads – Runners Up Catholic Club Reserves

Chris Shyne Memorial Trophy:
Winners D&P Copperpot – Runners Up Success to the Plough

FJ Williams Trophy:
Winners Milton – Runners Up Highfield

WE Kay Trophy:
Winners D&P Copperpot Reserves – Runners Up Turks Head

Denis John Trophy:
Winners Catholic Club – Runners Up Dale Dynamos

Sylvia Ray Memorial Trophy:
Winners Rochdale Nomads – Runners Up Prince Albert

Lancashire Sunday League Trophy:
Winners D&P Copperpot

Refereeing Awards:
New Referee of the Year – Mike Clarke
Referee of the Year – Nick Gibbons

Leading Goal-Scorers Awards:

First Division – D. Trainer, Cartshaft
