Dale players back superfan initiative

The countdown to Saturday's Rochdale AFC game against Wycombe Wanderers when the fans on the day will receive their letter and vouchers for the Superfan 2008 competition is well under way. Don't forget though if you want to jump the gun you can do so going to the main office at Spotland Stadium and collecting books of vouchers in advance.

Nathan Stanton and all his team mates are giving their full backing to the Fan Drive 2008 and the competition to see who is going to be our superfan, indeed the Dale star defender is doing his bit in an attempt to win the great prize!

He said: quot;I think that this scheme is a great way of boosting our home support and I can assure the fans that we are aware of what they are trying to do to help the club and the players. I have already got my book of vouchers and I have given them to five of my friends and family to come up from Nottingham for the Chesterfield game. All the players are talking about the scheme and giving it their full support.

"The support of the fans was fantastic yet again at Bradford on Saturday and though I wasn't involved in the game, due to suspension, I travelled with the lads and I know that it gave them a great boost when they came onto the pitch and saw and heard the fans behind the goal.

"Positive support means a lot to the players and helps them so much and the fans will have a massive part to play if we are to achieve our aims this season."
