Commercial UpdateShirt number 15 has been sold to Geoff and Marlene Harrison ndash; meaning that 18 squad numbers have been sponsored. Hornets thanks all those people who have sponsored a squad number.
 
Also sold are two more Associate Match Day Packages meaning that we only four packages remain to have achieved the goal of all matches having four sponsors. A club spokeman said: quot;The matches left promise to be real thrillers and are against Widnes, Batley, Dewsbury and Whitehaven."

Community UpdateHornets have been invited to join the Swinton Lions annual sponsored walk in aid of Leukaemia Research. The walk will take place on Sunday 25th February. The start is planned as 9.00am it is expected that the walk will take about three hours.

Northern Rail wants to set the following challenge to Hornet’s fans on the walk ndash; whoever raises the most money for Leukaemia Research will win VIP match tickets and train tickets for Northern Rail Cup Final at Blackpool on 15 July.

Darren Abram has confirmed that at least two Hornets players will be taking part in this worthy cause. The players are aiming to raise pound;100 each for this worthy cause.

Hornets Quiz NightThere has been a fabulous response to the Hornets quiz at the Red Lion, in the Square, Whitworth with plenty of teams signing up already so it’s guaranteed to be a great night for the Hornets. Don't worry if you haven't signed up yet as you can register on the night. For those who don’t know the quiz is .
 
The Quiz starts at 8.00pm and is pound;5 for a team of up to four members.

The Red Lion are providing the food and as well as the Quiz there will be the usual raffle (if you want to donate a prize please take it along on the night).
