Football club order more vouchers for Superfan campaign

Date published: 20 February 2008

Rochdale football club originally ordered 20,000 vouchers, in 5,000 books for their Fans Drive campaign aimed at finding Superfan 2008 and such has been the take up already they have now ordered a further 1,000 books ahead of the actual launch date on Saturday.

Director Graham Rawlinson, who will be on duty with other Board members at the turnstiles on Saturday handing out the vouchers and letters to fans, said: "The response has been amazing and we took the step of ordering more vouchers today so that no one misses out on the opportunity of being our Superfan. Even though it was desperately disappointing to have the Notts County game called off it once again hit home just how dedicated and hard working our fans are.

"Once again on behalf of the Board of Directors I would ask that our supporters get fully behind this and all our other initiatives and sell Rochdale Football Club in their homes, neighbourhoods, watering holes and places of work. With Keith Hill's team we have a very saleable asset as we all know and to see the ground brimming when we play Chesterfield in a couple of weeks time would give the players such a boost."
