Rochdale & District Sunday Football League Appeal Fund

The Rochdale amp; District Sunday League has a proud history in the town - formed as a merger of the Rochdale Sunday League and the Littleborough Sunday League in 1974 it boasts one of the highest standards of grass roots football in the North West of England and it's representative teams have frequently won regional honours.

The League currently has four divisions/over 40 clubs - one of the most thriving in the North West and over 800 players signed on to play.

Due to circumstances entirely beyond its control, the League now faces a serious financial crisis and has launched an Appeal Fund to try and ensure that local amateur football continues to be played on Sunday's for many years to come.

Rochdale Online have kicked the fund off with a £500 donation.

Rochdale Football Club Officials have agreed to hold a bucket collection prior to the game with Accrington Stanley on Saturday 3 March.

The Stadium Company at Spotland has also kindly agreed to the Rochdale Online League Cup Final being played at the ground.
