The sound of silence unpopular with Dale!

Rochdale Football Club supporters not able to make the trip to Peterborough tuned into silence on the club's web site as technical problems left club commentator Stuart Ashworth talking to himself for 90 minutes!

The live commentary facility is provided by Premium TV (PTV) who told the Dale commentary team at half-time that they were working on the problem. Mr Ashworth duly continued his commentary in the second half but to no avail as he spent the second half as well as the first talking to himself!

Mr Ashworth said: "We apologise to supporters who tuned into silence on DaleWorld and we can assure you the matter will be taken up with PTV.

"It was frustrating for us, after lugging all the equipment into the commentary box we in effect spent the game simply talking to ourselves.

"We accept the service isn't good enough, but can assure you we will be demanding some form of compensation for our subscribers."
