Last season saw Dale sell approximately 800 season tickets throughout the summer. However, with optimism around the club at its highest point in years, a group of fans running the RochdaleAFC.com web site believe there is no reason that total cannot beat last year's figure by the early bird deadline of 8 June.
With that in mind, they have launched a 'one thousand season ticket' campaign. The idea is for the club to sell 1000 season tickets by the early bird deadline of 8 June. Fans buying season tickets before the 8 June deadlinewill make significant savings. On average, buying the season tickets before the deadline will mean a saving of around 10% on the full price.
Furthermore, the funds raised by the season tickets will enable Dale boss Keith Hill to compete with other clubs in the transfer market and enable him to bring in the sort of players that will help next season's promotion push.
With players like Adam Le Fondre and Ben Muirhead mentioned by supporters as potential targets, its clear that players of that ilk will be very much in demand, so any funds to help Keith Hill secure his main targets can only strengthen the clubs 2007-8 campaign.
