Hill & Flitcroft sign three year contract to manage Dale
Date published: 27 April 2007
Rochdale AFC have announced that Keith Hill and David Flitcroft have signed a new contract as manager and assistant manager respectively of Rochdale AFC until 31 May 2010.
The three year deal is one of the longest offered to a management team in recent years and reflects the confidence the board have in them and rewards them for their endeavours and achievements since taking over the running of the first team.
The duo took over the managerial reins in mid-December following the departure of manager Steve Parkin and after a superb run of results and performances the board gave them the post for the foreseeable future.
Chairman Chris Dunphy said: "The length of contract is a statement in itself. It is one of the longest we have offered to a management team for a long time and speaks volumes in respect of our confidence in Keith and David.
"In the last six months since taking over they have turned the club's fortunes around breathing life into Spotland with their commitment, work ethic and modern approach to management and we are delighted to have them on board."
