The perfect ingredient to kick start Dale home form

Date published: 26 February 2008

Rochdale are gearing up for the biggest attendance of their season when they play Chesterfield at Spotland this Saturday. You can play your part in making that hope a reality. Entry into the ground is just £10, in any stand, when you use one of the vouchers that were given out before the Wycombe game on Saturday. If you have not got a voucher, then do not despair…

Even if you were not at the game on Saturday you can still get in to the Chesterfield game for £10.

You can go up to the club and get a book of vouchers of your own or if you know someone who was at the Wycombe game, they might have a voucher spare.

If you were at the Wycombe game at the weekend you will have been given a book of vouchers so that you and your friends can get into the Chesterfield game for £10.

The idea of the initiative is to get as many fans into Spotland for the game as possible and you could play your part in cheering Dale to a vital home win in their bid to reach the League Two play-offs.

There is also the added incentive that you could become Rochdale’s Super Fan. If you have your own vouchers make sure you write your contact details on the back of each one before you give them to your friends and the person who gets the most people to come to Spotland on Saturday will be crowned Super Fan.

Of course it is not all about winning the contest. Only one fan can do that. It is about turning up, enjoying a day out at the football and perhaps the club can unearth some new supporters. So if you’re not a regular at Spotland, or have never been before, this Saturday is the ideal opportunity to watch one of the most promising Rochdale side’s of recent years.

And one man, more than any other, deserves your attendance…

Whoever turns up at Spotland for the Chesterfield game on Saturday will be witnessing an historic occasion.

Club Captain Gary Jones is set to equal the club’s all time appearance record. The midfielder will play in his 345th Rochdale game, equalling a record that has stood since the 1970s.

If you have already got your book of vouchers then it is time to start thinking about who you can give them to so that they can get in to the game for £10. If you’ve already given all your vouchers out then get to the main office at Spotland and get some more – there are plenty available and if you can give out more than ten then you should be well in with a chance in the Super Fan contest.

You can also download a poster for the game to put up in your office, local sports club, pub or anywhere you see fit, to advertise the big game.
