Apart from one short week in the sun there has been no real rest for Assistant manager Dave Flitcroft as he looks to build his skills with no little help from Sammy Lee and the nice people at Bolton Wanderers.
Like his manager, 'Flicker' is keen to keep up with the latest coaching techniques in order to get the very best out of the playing squad.
Flitcroft said: "Keith has been building his skills and adding to his coaching skills for seven years now and I wanted to go out and do it for myself. I have been on a lot of seminars and prep courses over the last six months and am doing my qualifications at the minute.
"Always as a player I wanted to absorb as much information as I could even though I didn't think at the time that I would be on this side of things so soon, so to get fast-tracked and get the qualifications has been superb.
"There ares always new things coming out and luckily I have been able to do it through Bolton Wanderers who are at the forefront of everything that is good regarding coaching techniques and Sports Science, and to have been able to use their facilities and resources has been fantastic. To go with them under people like Jack Trainer and Pete Farrell has been one of the best footballing decisions I have ever made."
