Rochdale net their season ticket goal

Rochdale AFC latest news
Rochdale football club this week all but achieved their target of selling 1000 season tickets for the coming season. The aim was to sell 1000 tickets before the ‘early bird’ reduced price deadline, which passed on Saturday, and the club had sold 994 by the close of business that day.
That total left the club just 6 tickets short of their target, and since then the 1000 mark has been passed. Last month fans running the rochdaleafc.com website launched a campaign to beat last year’s total of 800 season tickets sold before the early bird deadline and, with optimism amongst supporters at its highest for years, they have comfortably achieved that goal.
The club is now hoping to achieve record season ticket sales, with fans rising to support the board, management and players who hope to take Rochdale FC forward in their Centenary season. In a press release the club wished to thank all the fans for their continued and growing support.
Carling Cup draw made
The draw for the first round of next season’s Carling Cup was made today, Wednesday 13 June. Rochdale will face Championship side Stoke City at home. Stoke enjoyed a strong 2006/07 season, finishing eighth in the table just two points outside the playoffs, making them one of the biggest names in the hat for the first round draw.
The likely kick off for the game will be 7.45pm on Tuesday 14 August.
