Annual Pontefract Race Trip - Friday 20 July
Tickets are now selling well for this event, priced at pound;33.00.
The package includes;
- Pre trip buffet ndash; served in the Mitsubishi Lounge with a FREE glass of Red or White Wine.
- Travel to and from the Race Course ndash; return drop offs Rochdale or Spotland
- Entry into Pontefract Race
There will also be a lsquo;sweep stake’ competition arranged on the day.

Saturday Yankee ndash; Saddle up and support the club!
New Chief Executive Peter Whitehead said: quot;I am currently looking at all possible ways of increasing club income. One easy way for supporters, or not yet supporters, is to join the very successful Saturday Yankee. At pound;1 per week and the chance to win up to pound;2000, it has to be a bargain. Please contact Eric, Rita or myself at the club office and let us show what we can do."
Community Update
Hornets, in conjunction with the Royal Navy, will be hosting a Rugby Festival at Hopwood Hall on 11 July. Matches commence from 10.00am onwards.
Over 30 schools in the local borough will be taking part. Organised by Darren Rogers, this is yet another positive step forward in Hornets' quest as a club to bring the sport of Rugby League and Hornets to a wider audience.
A Royal Navy Helicopter will be flown in for the day and there will be a climbing wall and lsquo;shoot out’ gallery for children to get involved with.
Pop along and cheer the kids on; the semi final and finals will take place from 2.30pm onwards.
