Youngster Raphael Evans has been loaned out to Leigh Genesis.
Leigh Genesis yesterday snapped up one of Rochdale’s youth players in a last ditch attempt to stave off relegation.
Raphale Evans joined the Unibond premier league side who are currently struggling 10 points adrift at the bottom of the league. They secured the defender on a one month loan deal.
Evans has been a successful asset of the youth team and made his first team debut last season whilst he was still a scholar. However, this season he has found opportunities hard to grasp and has spent time out on loan at Bradford Park Avenue in search of first team football.
Evans will be joining former team mate Kyle Lambert during the loan spell, after the midfielder left the club earlier in the season.
Evans has been a regular starter for the reserve team at Dale and it is thought that he will soon be ready to challenge for a first team place.
