Rochdale's home game against Darlington next month will be shown live on Sky Sports.

The announcement was made this morning that the game will be played on front of the television cameras on Saturday 18 April and the kick off time has been brought forward to 12.45pm.

It will be Dale's first live televised match of the season and comes almost year since Dale played Darlington in the play-offs season; two games which were also broadcast live on television. Dale famously won the tie on penalties in a game that was also an early kick off on a Saturday.

The money provided by a live television game at Spotland will be a welcome boost to the Dale coffers ahead of the end of season run in and may come in handy during the summer when Keith Hill looks to build his squad for next season.
