After on excellent opening partnership of 54 between Faisal (24) and Malik (30) Rochdalians needed six off the last ball but could only manage two runs.

After the win the captain of RYCC Konian Shah said: "This has been a fantastic league and very competitive. I thank my team mates and also special thanks to the BASAF committee for their hard work and well organised league. We hope to come back next year and challenge again for the league."

In the league's other games last Sunday, Unique had an excellent win over second placed 8-stars.

Needing nine runs to win Adeel, the last man, guided his side to a win with two balls to spare.

8-stars made 99 runs from their allocated 10 overs. Superb fielding by Unique accounted for five run-outs.

Unique were struggling at 55-5, but a gritty partnership of 31 between Zeeshan and skipper Mo edged them home after a superb all round team effort.

Punjab registered their first win of the season and did it with style by making 131 the bat, with a great opening partnership of 46 between Umar (24) and Zubair (21), paving the way for good late hitting from Imran (31) and Javed (12),

Seniors had no answer and were eventually all out for 59.

Masters skipper Saleem said: We thoroughly enjoyed the season and our appreciation goes to the committee of BASAF by organising and getting all the people together, because this has been a breath of fresh air for all the people to play and relax among friends."
