RYCC lead the Indoor Cricket League at Matthew Moss Sports Centre going into this Sunday's round of matches.
Last weekend RYCC beat Rochdalians to go top of the table, while there were also wins for 8 Stars and All-stars teams.
An excellent partnership of 58 runs by RYCC openers Qayum (20) and Nawazish (28) paved the way for the win against Rochdalians. Rochdalians made valiant effort to reach RYCC score of 119. Needing 18 off the last over they managed 15 runs to lose by three with Suhaib stranded on 30 not out.
The pick of the bowlers for RYCC was Konian with two wickets for 14 runs.
8 Stars had a comfortable win against Unique. Batting first 8 Stars made 108 runs thanks mainly to skipper Irfan's 38 not out and Saleem's 21, with Adeel the pick of the Unique bowlers, taking 2 for 14.
Abbas (26) and Max Power (21) were the mainstays of the Unique innings but they could not get close to the 8 Stars' total.
In the final game All-stars overcame Punjab. Asked to bat first All-stars reached 112 runs in their 10 overs thanks to superb batting displays from skipper Bukhari (31), Shah (23) and Gufran (20 not out).
None of the Punjab batsmen got to grips with the All-stars' bowling and Imran's 2 for 16 and Atif's 3 for 14 helped All-stars to run out comfortable winners.
In the Legends League, powerful batting displays by Veterans players Akhy (26) and Uzzi (33) and a total of 6 sixes paved the way for an easy win against Seniors. Akhy then took 2 for 7 with the ball and aided by Sohail (2 for 9), Seniors were never able to get close to the target.
In the other game Masters won comprehensively against Legends with Aleem (2-6), Fayyaz (2-8) and Arhie (2-8) performing well with the ball before Shahid (21 not out) and Fayyaz did the damage with the bat.
