All pay to see Hornets
Date published: 11 February 2009
The Supporters' Trust which is running the new-look Rochdale Hornets has pioneered an all-pay policy for the coming season.
The club's Steering Group has decided all supporters, including Trustees, Steering Group members and volunteers, will pay equal amounts to attend games this year.
The supporter-owned club is hoping to maximise all income opportunities if it is to become self-sustaining in the future.
Apart from meeting the club’s contractual obligations, all supporters will be asked to pay the relevant admission price. The prices for 2009 are: Adults £12, Concessions £8, U16s £5 and pre-school children free. For concessions and U16s, proof will be required.
Club Secretary Julie Clarke said: “In the new club supporters will be given an equal say - so it’s only fair that supporters pay equally too.”
