Football agents fees? Not at Rochdale AFC!

Date published: 26 July 2007

The Football League has published the latest six monthly figures regarding clubs spending on agents fees.

Once again the figure has fallen and once again Dale are one of the clubs proud to say that they haven't spent monies on licenced agents fees.

In announcing the figures Football League Chairman Lord Mawhinney said: "I am encouraged that Football League clubs have spent less money on agents fees and I hope that this pattern continues."

For the record in League Two there were 1174 player transfers between July 2006 and June 30th 2007 with 53 involving agents fees.

Clubs in League Two committed to spend a total of £338.452 on agents fees in this period (of this £323.952 was committed by the signing club and £14,500 was committed by the players' previous club for the agents involvement in severance arrangements).

Eleven clubs committed to paying for the services of licenced agents.

Thirteen clubs did not: Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Chester City, Hartlepool United, Hereford United, Lincoln City, Mansfield Town, Notts County, Rochdale, Stockport County, Walsall, Wrexham and Wycombe Wanderers.

In this period Dale were involved in five new transfers and registrations, two updated contracts, nine cancelled contracts and sixteen loans.
