Pitch inspection announced for Dale game against Morecambe
Date published: 06 February 2009
Rochdale Football Club
Rochdale and Morecambe have agreed to have a pitch inspection at 11am ahead of tomorrow's game to save visiting supporters from having to travel to Spotland if the surface is unplayable.
Groundstaff and supporters have been at the stadium all day clearing snow from the pitch and the club still needs fans' help if they are to get the game on.
Supporters are urged to get along to Spotland to help clear the snow from the pitch. Groundstaff will be working on the surface up to 9pm tonight and again from 8am tomorrow morning and fans are being urged to give up any spare time they have available to help out.
The club is optimistic that the game will go ahead despite the predicted freezing overnight temperatures.
Rochdale Online will keep you up to date with the results of the pitch inspection and if the game does go ahead, be sure to find out whether Dale can push into the automatic promotion places with our half time and full time match reports, post-match reaction and interviews, and superb action photographs.
