It has been a successful year for 18-year old rally driver Joe Cruttenden.
Having gained his international licence this year and successfully competing in two rounds of the British rally championship, the Newhey driver ended the 2008 session winning 6 ANWCC (Association of North Western Car Clubs) Forest Co-driver Championships.
Cruttenden has, throughout the season, competed in rallies in the forests of Wales, Cumbria and North Yorkshire and had some success on the tarmac based rallies he has raced in.
He is now looking forward to next season and is hoping to compete in two championships, the British Rally Championship and The BTRDA 1400 championship.
The young driver said: "I am delighted with my season, and now need to plan for next year. During the Winter I will be looking for sponsorship to enable me to compete whilst studying at University."
Joe is working closely with young drivers 14-17 yrs old, hoping to break into rallying through the F1000 Junior championship.
"Being young and having had 3 years experience. I feel I can give these young drivers the inspiration and encouragement to enable them to compete next year," Joe added.
