Special Night for Rochdale Swarm

The Rochdale Swarm capped off an excellent inaugural season at their presentation night, which saw several trophies being handed out to their players and officials.

Rochdale Hornets star player Janan Billings was on hand to present the awards to the lucky winners.

Awards went to:

Most improved player
John Shelmedine

Coach's player of the year
Brian Ashton

Players player of the year
Mark Thomas

The Swarm players also gave commemorative match balls to Mark Wynn and David Ramsbottom for services to the club.

The club presented Janan Billings with a Swarm polo shirt to thank him for presenting the trophies and gave a special thanks to the Hornets man, who stayed the whole night and really got into the Swarm spirit.

Everyone was entertained by the act for the evening, Paul Chance who brought the house down.

The Rochdale Swarm play in a 7-a-side competition this Saturday against Featherstone and Wakefield to bring the curtain down on a superb debut season.

All Swarm players are asked to meet at 1.00pm at Firgrove for the trip over to the Chris Moyles Stadium, formerly Post Office Road, Featherstone.
