After a highly successful first season the Rochdale Swarm Tag Rugby League Club are hosting their inaugural presentation night tomorrow (Saturday 18 October) at Firgrove Working Mens Club with a 7.30pm start.

The Swarm have lined up Hornets favourite Janan Billings to present the trophies and live entertainment will be provided by Paul Chance. There is also a hot pie supper, raffle and a 'nearest the bottle' contest for a gallon of whisky.

Rochdale Swarm Chairman Mark Wynn said: "Its been a whirlwind this, our first season, with highlights being awarded a grant from the National Lottery, players being selected for England Tag train on squad, a game against the Fijians, TV cameras at training, a very creditable 5th in the league and the icing on the cake was our tour to Ireland. It couldn't have gone much better for us.

"We are not resting on our laurels though, we have big plans for next year when we hope to host an International Tag Festival, as well as a pre season trip to Wales and not forgetting our return to Ireland. The dedication of the team is there - even this Sunday we are training, the morning after our Presentation Night!"

Anyone who wishes to join the celebrations can pay on the night £5 for Adults £3 for juniors.
