Jordan Rhodes' loan spell comes to a close.
Striker Jordan Rhodes has returned to Ipswich Town after his one month loan spell with Rochdale came to a close this week.
However, the 18-year old, who has started each of Dale's last five games since his arrival and scored two goals, could be back at Spotland before the weekend and available to play at Morecambe on Saturday.
Rhodes is in Ipswich's reserve squad tonight but talks are ongoing about his return.
Dale's assistant manager Dave Flitcroft has said that they will know one way or the other whether Rhodes will return in the next couple of days.
Flitcroft said: "We will know more by Thursday. We are into a situation where we are having a look around to see the other options available to us and speaking to the chairman, who has been away on holiday, to see where the squad is sat and where we are at with everything.
“We are going to assess things over a couple of days and are not going to rush into anything. We will speak to Jordan, speak to Ipswich Town and just see how things pan out with it over the next two or three days."
